Last season, I logged more than 400 kilometers (nearly 250 miles) on my PT. I ride it every single day during our pick-your-own raspberries season. It’s a very busy time. We have hundreds of customers each day. The PT allows me to quickly and quietly travel throughout the farm in an environmentally-friendly way. I enjoy being able to conveniently welcome visitors, connect with customers and answers questions.

In 2008, the District of Columbia’s Parking Enforcement Department deployed 40 Segway PTs into its program. Based on the success of that implementation, the department has added PTs to its fleet each and every year since then.

The French National Railroad, known in France as the Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français or SNCF, is the country’s state-owned railway. Recently its train maintenance team added six Segway Personal Transporters (PTs) to its existing 8 unit fleet.

In October 2009, the Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (ADM) rented two Segway i2 Personal Transporters (PTs) from Segway of Canada for a two-month evaluation period. By January 2010, they had purchased those units. Today, eleven officers are trained riders and the PTs are used daily to increase efficiency and mobility and decrease response time to security calls.
