Let’s Get (More) Social!
Segway Social, the social networking site for Segway enthusiasts, has some newly-added features for our members, just in time for your holiday vacation. If you haven’t logged in for a while, be sure to head on over and check ‘em out.
When you get there, you’ll see a couple of upgrades. First, your profile area offers more customization than ever before. Add a photo of yourself, update your personal information, and sync up your Flickr account with the Segway Social photo pool. You can also edit your privacy settings to share as much (or as little) information as you’d like.
Profiles also include your Segway Sphere. The Sphere represents your connections across the site, which populate based on your group associations. It provides all your contacts at a glance, and dropping them a line is one short click away.
The new Post-a-Note feature helps you communicate directly with other users by posting messages in his/her profile area. You are notified of new notes when you log in and via e-mail, if you’ve opted for e-mail notifications.
The Members tab is also a new addition that showcases users by site activity, recency, and geographic location. It’s a nifty place to get an idea of the most active members and to connect with nearby enthusiasts as well.
These new features are specific to member accounts and aren’t visible while browsing the site publicly. To sign up, register your Segway PT for membership!
