1,000,000 Miles and Counting…
Segway Social has hit a million – miles, that is. The community’s total lifetime miles logged on Segway PTs is at 1,074,202 miles and counting. Using reported information from users’ average weekly miles and average time (in months) since date of purchase, we’ve extrapolated this across the entire user community. Cheers to current and future Segway PT owners as we embark on the next million.
In celebrating this milestone, we invite you to head on over to Segway Social and check out the new mileage counter. The counter displays the community’s reported miles logged to date and updates regularly as new members join or user’s profiles are edited. The total is based on user’s reporting both average weekly mileage and a date of purchase, and excludes users who have yet to enter values in these fields. [The inferred million miles is based on the same calculation, but spans all users, not just those reporting information.]
Next, log in to see the mileage counter display your personal Segway PT mileage based on your user profile. New totals are posted regularly, so log in to update your information and start tracking your miles. We think you’ll be amazed to see how far you’ve traveled by Segway PT already.
We’ve also added a new search feature to help you locate a specific group. The ‘show all’ feature displays groups alphabetically within the Groups tab, making it easier for you to search a group by name once you’ve logged in. There are 82 groups and counting…join one today or create your own.
Like a specific photo? The Photos tab displays photos and titles in the preview area. You can visit a user’s photostream (via Flickr) by clicking on the title to learn more about the photo or the user.
